We're a small firm (and we like it that way).

We have, what we believe, is the perfect size team for the custom residential work we produce. Each one of us is versatile, and plays an important role in the process, all actively engaged from concept to completion. Our team consists of a principle designer (and founder), design director, senior technologist, and junior designer, all collaborating as one collective unit. Ardington + Associates Design was established in 2013, and has been growing since. Our projects range from small additions, custom homes, cottages, to residential developments in Ottawa, Toronto, Prince Edward County, Muskoka, and all across Ontario, with award recognition at both local and national levels.

Our team loves the personal aspect of residential design, that's why we do what we do. All our time and energy has been poured into creating custom spaces for our clients, continually researching the best possible building methods. Rest assured your project will not be "at the bottom of the list" in our office. We give every project the time and care required to make your project exceptional. Our focus on residential work has lead to some great relationships in the industry, and we’d love to share our resources with you.

Since the inception, Ardington + Associates has been focused on developing a streamlined and efficient process. We take care of all the tedious, technical aspects of designing a home, behind the scenes. Bringing in our clients for only the more enjoyable, pertinent stages, through a series of highly organized meetings. However, it is not uncommon for our clients to be more involved, wanting to learn more about the technical aspects their home. In that case, we’re always happy to share as much of our knowledge, and insight as you’re willing to listen to!

Additionally, our process is highly visual, using a combination of both 2D drawings and 3D models. This not only helps clients have a faster, better understanding of design concepts, but aids in the production of highly detailed construction documents. Ultimately, improving the accuracy of pricing, and helping maintain steady workflow on site during construction.
